Case Studies

Relatively few researchers have explored how faith impacts upon higher education institutions, or how higher education institutions shape and influence different responses to religious belief. In addition to drawing from existing academic and public policy resources, the Religious Literacy Leadership in Higher Education programme has conducted primary research at universities in different parts of the UK to explore this.
Thirty interviews and three small student discussion groups have been conducted. Interviews have been carried out with chaplains, counsellors, academic staff, equalities and diversity staff, and student support. We have also interviewed 16 Vice Chancellors and Pro Vice Chancellors. Some of those individuals’ reflections can be found in “Campus Voices”. On this page you can find some more detailed case studies.
